
Dourakis Winery – An Authentic Cretan Wine Experience
Dourakis Winery is located in Alikampos, Apokoronas, approximately 40 kilometers from Chania city, at the foothills of the White Mountains. Founded in 1988 by oenologist Andreas Dourakis, who, after studying in Germany and gaining experience in wineries in Greece and abroad, returned to his homeland to establish the winery. Today, the Dourakis family continues the tradition, producing high-quality wines that reflect the character of the Cretan land.Winery Experiences
- Guided Tour: Explore the vineyards, the botanical garden with Cretan herbs, production areas, aging cellar, and the winery’s folklore museum. Learn about the winemaking process and the history of the winery.
- Wine Tasting: Sample a variety of the winery’s wines, accompanied by local delicacies, in specially designed tasting areas. Varieties include local grapes such as Vidiano, Malvasia, Kotsifali, and Romeiko, as well as international ones like Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
